Damn heater!!

Ok, I have an 03 Evo. Nothing special. The problem I have is that just a few days ago my heater nob on my dash started getting sticky right between the cold and hot sides, right at twelve o'clock. Anyway, I tried to turn it and it wouldn't budge. I basically just turned it good and hard and it went. But i heard a noise in the dash and now i don't have any heat. I basically get luke-warm air that comes out. its december in south dakota and i am freezing my balls off. Any suggestions? All are welcome.

Wasn't this a TSB from Mitsu? Mine (as well as most other 8's) are pretty stiff at the 12 o' clock position. Check with Mitsu and see if they have a fix for it.

MY old 08 LY evo had the same issue. I still had the B2B warranty on it and took it in. They got it to work, but it was still pretty stiff when trying to go from cold to hot. It basically needed to turn counter clockwise first to the cold and then it would loosen it up enough to turn to hot...ghetto... i kno
