Headlight overlays or no?

i am debateing on getting rid of my smoked overlays for my headlights I like them but I don't like the HID look at night with them on, they just look like normal Headlights. I just wanted some other opinions.

To be honest, I think they look heinous. I would remove them immediately.

Overlays like that only look really good on a black car when you are going for the "ultimate black" look. May look OK on a Red car, but I am not looking to put them on mine

Thanks for the replys, They look good during the day but at night I hate them. it was a just a short term fix until I could either get a set of evo9 headlights or crack them open and paint them black. I will be removeing them as soon as I get a chance. I also need to crack open the tails and paint them black, I hate the cheap clear tail light look.
