I need gauges!

Hey everyone! I have a 03 evo8 with no gauges at all. Most importantly the first thing to do is observe how my car is running before any aftermarkets are purchased. Should I just ask the dealer to install stock gauges in my evo or should I go *aftermarket*. If you all prefer aftermarket, what are the best ideas and websites. I am going to purchase as soon as i get a official answer. I need something that looks and works good. I do have a boost gauge in my turbo timer but I do not understand Kph or whatever it is saying. Help me out so I can make a purchase asap. Thanks

The OEM gauges work, but are very small and can be hard to read. Aftermarkets are great! and easy to hook up. I think the hardest part is finding a mounting spot. Also your budget will play a part in what gauges you get. Mechanical or Electric? Its up to you and your budget. DEFI's are great but exspensive, Prosports are a great budget electric gauge. Autometer, greddy, blitz, Stewart warner, VDO... Check them all out! KPA is a metric measurement of pressure google a KPA converter and you will figure out what 1PSI=like 6.xxxKPA. stick with a PSI boost gauge if you don't want to do quick conversions in your head. I just bought a Peak/hold/warning Prosport Electric gauge in white/amber it came with a mounting cup, visor all tubing and wiring for $86 shipped to my door in 2 days! There is no control unit to buy either and later on you can just daisy chain the gauges! Seems like a good alternative for the exspensive gauges. I might install it on my lunch break today so I will post my results!
