Keyless entry not working

hey all, post 001 on here. I just purchased my 06 MR from a dealer a couple days ago and am in the process of finding out what all was done to it and removed before purchasing.

Looks like there was a turbo timer and a remote car starter. I found a couple harnesses and boxes spliced into the ignition. There is the problem. My keyless entry worked fine before, I removed all the wiring and hubs from the previous install and now the keyless doesn't work.

The auto doors still lock and unlock, and the car still starts. There is no "Brain" for the system just the harnesses and an A'Pexi module. Is there a schematic of where my keyless entry module is? Anyone have a similar problem?

Also, now my door chime goes no matter what, if the key is in the ignition or the lights are on or not....if the door is open, the chime is going. Close the door, and all is well....wtf, is this harness about? Thanks for any help.

sounds like you should have left those boxes in there. It sounded like it was a module to make a aftermarket one work with stock....

but the module is only an A'Pexi turbo timer module. It goes to the ignition, the other was just masses of wires and harnesses going to nowhere. Does your door "bing" all the time if your driver side door is open? Don't think they do...never noticed before but its annoying now.
