photo Show your wingless pride.

I have just removed my wing the other day and I want to show it off. I think it looks much better now. Before it look like just another kids car and now it looks like a normal car. So, if you took your wing off then can you please show us since when I searched there were not many pictures of wingless Evolotions on here. My pictures are not the best quility because I am not sure how to make them clearer at night, I will be practicing.

Mod1 - I rebalanced my wheels and took off my outside wheel weights and put on the steak on wheel weights.
Mod2 - I debaged the rest of the badges since the last owner did not do it, I want the UK badges but that is after I get the rear JDM bumber and fix the holes on the trunk.
Mod3 - I went wingless.
Mod4 - JDM rear in near future.

Just put "Lancer" on the trunk and no one will give it a second thought.

Here's mine... only took it off cause I was re-clearing the wing, but I'm not sure if I want to put it back on now lol. Turned out pretty nice for a cell phone pic lol.

Looking good. We need more. Come guys I know there has to me more. As far as the lancer sticker I was thinking about it but first I want to get the spring for the trunk and JDM rear and paint and then maybe some badges.

Sorry, it took so long to get back to you... At the time of that picture I was on s-tech springs, but I got rid of them about a month ago for some Megan Street coilovers and like them much better.

Although it does look nice without the wing you can really tell a difference not having the spoiler at higher speeds, I a have spare 03 trunk hatch I bought with the low wing and I tried it and without the wing to see what looked better, however I could really tell a difference in how the car feels at above highway speeds and it most definitely effects the amount of downforce.

Took off my wing a couple of weeks ago...Fabricated some plugs that fill in the holes and it looks great...

I no longer have cops following me for blocks at a time, or Ricer Boys trying to race me every Friday night. My goal here is to make her look like a sleeper. Next up will be painting my Intercooler.

As far as people think that the car handels better with the wing maybe they are right. But in my opinion when evo is used for daily comute to work and back then the wing is not really needed. On normal days I go tops maybe 70 and thats if I go on some bigger highway where everyone goed that fast, other then that I cruise at 60 and the wing was just getting in my way when I was looking in the rear view mirror. I personally dont feel a major difference and I am getting a lot of negative attention. Such as other "home-boys" tring to race me which resulst in braking the law and getting in throuble or the "boys in blue" giving me tough looks. I also live like two blocks from police station so these monkeys drive by my car everyday. In the end I think it looks better and I did notice better fuel economy, I get about 30-40 mile per tank more. Now I am not sure if this is because I drive like an old lady or it is because I no longer have the wing but I started realizing it after I took off the wing. Great pictures but we need more guys come on, bring them out.
