real electric supercharger?

Is there such thing as a real electric supercharger? There are alot of ebay ones which sell for $30+ and I looked at some of the seller's feedbacks and it looked like most people were satisfied about what they bought. I also googled Electric Supercharger and found this supercharger selling for $199. How would I know which one works and which one doesn't?

i haven't seen one that really works.
car alternators will not generate enough power for the electric compressor to be effective.
at high air flow, the electric compressor can even strict air flow

please dont waste your time, moeny or energy even looking them up on the web. as stated already it takes a lot to get a good one moving, this means way more cost then $199, then you are adding major weight to the car with batteries and heavy duty alternators. if your looking for a bump and wanna be cheap about it, i think they sell dry nitrous kits for about $300. Then again if its a evo for $300 or even less sometimes you can get yourself a decent 3" turboback exhaust that will def give you a performance bump!

dont wast money. here is what you do. go find an air hockey table flip it over. take off the eletric blower and put it on your car (I looked at some of the seller's feedbacks and it looked like most people were satisfied about what they bought) really? dude if you do have an evo why would you even wast your time looking. Im by no means trying to bash you we are all finding out new stuff everyday. like SicLanEvo said get yourself a decent 3" turboback exhaust. anyway your turbo would suck in so much air that the force would stop that little fan from spinning.

Lol, even though ive posted in here, I really hate this thread. I still cant fathom why anyone would do that. Most people who want more power for their TURBOCHARGED Evo, would buy some supporting mods and get a tune (as was said above) or go out and buy a bigger turbo. Plain and simple. The Evo is not a cheap car to modify and definitely was not intended to have cheap modifications done to it.
