New Here

Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hi I don't drive an Evo, but I do plan to own one in the future... I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that. I currently drive an 03 Lancer OZ Rally and love it... will post pics soon.

hello, welcome to tuners. The mitsus are great cars! you'll have your evo soon enough, they are coming down in price for used ones and you can get some good deals if you dont mind fixing some issues from previous owners.

Yeah that's what I'm counting on. I want an Evo 8 MR - I'll have to get it imported from the States. I have been looking but it's difficult to find one that is pretty close to stock - I don't need a 500+ hp daily driver

Thanks for the welcome

you wont find many 500whp mr's not at least with a 6-speed though. i say if your going to do it look for a evo 9. where are you located. the evo 9 will make more power and the stock turbo is better then any of the Us evo 8's.

Really? Good to know. I'm going to do my research before actually getting the car, so that really helps. Evo 8 or 9 doesn't really matter to me, as long as it's an Evo hehe I'm in Toronto, Canada... I know a few guys who have imported Evos from the States as well.

gotcha, evos are great cars, you will have to figure out what exactly your going to use the car for before you decide. all the models 8's and 9's have there pros and cons. you need to start with a good fir for your needs instead of try to make it like another model. if you already know post up and i can give you my thoughts.

To sum it up, it would ideally be my daily driver with occasional track use in the Summer months. Definitely has to be reliable and fun to drive.
