I had a 1997 BMW M3. Only mods were a Dinan Intake and the Stage 2 programming.

My first car was a 91 accord, put it on nitrous with bolt ons, still sucked so I sold it. Got my first dsm, a 97 gsx, very gorgeous and a serious money whore. I still own it. Then I bought a 90 gst, trying to lessen the mileage on the gsx. I thought it would be reliable, my bad. Got it running just how I wanted it, it was fast and cheap, just how I like em. Till it had an electrical fire and burnt to the ground. That was the saddest day ever. But I used the insurance money to put a down on my evo mr, that was the happiest day ever. In the mean time I took delivery of a 90 laser turbo, didnt run and was a pos, but it was cheap, and the spare parts alone were a gold mine. I sold the shell and shortly after bought the galant vr4 to be the daily driver. I wanted to keep the evo new for as long as possible and the eclipse was my baby, no daily driving for her. My big mistake was thinking that galant would be reliable, youd think by know I would know, but it barely runs and I mainly drive my evo. Now at the present day I am looking to sell my gsx and my vr4, half heartedly though cause I dont really want to see them go. But I just got an 89 toyota truck and I am going to use that as my daily. At least I know those stay running and since Im a toyota mechanic for the daily grind it may work out ok this time.

What is wrong with your GVR-4? Mine was 100% reliable for years until I started doing heavy mods to it.... never had a single issue with it till then. Being built in Japan, it seemed like it was much better build quality than the American built DSM's.

I started with a little red, 1990 1.8l 5 spd laser, heard about these weird little cars that shared the same body that were :gasp: AWD and turbo( I didnt even know what that stuff meant then)

next thing I know Im beating on my 92 AWD for a couple of years, til the right opportunity( aka massive savings and deal hunting) came along and I got to move up to the DSMs big brother. Now Im flogging my 03 as much as I can around the autox circuit.

Prior to the evo, I drove:

99 Eclipse GSX, Built 6 bolt with garrett t3/04, 340Awhp

95 Eclipse GST, stock 7 bolt with usual bolt ons and Evo III 16g, never dyno'ed but fairly quick

96 Eclipse GSX, Big 16g w/supporting mods. Never dynoed but ran consistent high 12's with race gas.

96 Camaro Z28, [email protected], i/h/e , cammed, and "chipped", 125 shot edelbrock NO2
off the juice 468whp, on the juice 580whp (dynojet). Ran mid 10's on slicks, barely 11's on street tires. Traction was a huge issue as was keeping it straight between shifts on the track.

1994 Mustang GT, drove for a few monthes then ditched in favor of camaro.

1989 Mazda B2000 small pickup. Cool little truck.

1987 Honda Accord, daily driver, awesome mpg.

1984 Fort Tempo, first car. Hated. Between driving this and my dissapointment with aforementioned mustang jaded for life concerning ford vehicles.
