SRS light

I started my car this morning and my SRS light stayed on. Can anyone tell me what to check to see if anything is wrong. It is the first time this has ever happened. Could use some help, thanks

I believe it stands for "safety restraint system", and it's your airbag light. It doesn't necessarily mean that the system doesn't work... and usually isn't considered a big deal. Mine has been on since I install my TEAS suspension controller, when I disconnected the battery. I called the dealer and they said it was $75 to turn it off. Keep in mind that all this info is from the dealer... so take my info lightly
