06 Evo Mr setup?

Im currently in the market to buy an 06 Evo mr I would like to find a good setup with some bolt-ons for around $6,000 I have a general list but dont know what are the best brands I'm buying a completely stock evo and would be happy to get it into the low 12sec range here is what im looking at

Turbo-Back exhaust
Intercooler piping
Fuel Pump
Intake
Bov
Boost Controller
Injectors
Wastegate
Fuel Pressure regulator
short throw shifter.

Any suggestions of some high grade brands would be greatly appreciated

with a 06 evo mr in stock form with just a tune and a great driver can be into the 12's. this topic has been covered over and over. brand will depend on budget and what you like.

mod list for basic bolt ons are:
TBE
Intake
Intercooler pipes
FMIC
255lph fuel pump
Boost controller
Clutch
Cams
Def need a tune after most mods.

short throw shifter is not necessary and there are very few companies that make one for the MR. fuel pressure regulator is not needed for basic bolt ons and neither is a BOV since the 06 evos have a decent one. Wastegate is also not needed to be upgraded if you have a decent boost control setup.

Why exactly does it have to be a MR? what are your goals besides 12sec 1/4 mile? this can be acheived for almost nothing.

bolt on mods

Okay but im looking for specific top name brands for the items I listed. Stuff that had overall good reviews price not really an option. Just want to buy top of the line mods.

Also what system do evo's use to tune S-afc or what kind of EMS?

Like i said it depends on your preference then, some top of the line parts are nice, but dont offer more performance then cheaper brands so the cost for me can't be justified. as far as tuning the evo you can use ecuflash for well over stock power. the program is free at openecu.org . All you need is a tactrix cable and knowledge to tune. Most tuners are using the same program for tuning the stock ecu with great results. Piggy-back and full stand alones are a thing of the past for most bolt -on and even full build cars.

what exactly are you going to be doing these mods for? auto-x? drag? street? stock class Time attack? Do you want a subtle look or a aggressive look? answer some of these and you can get a better idea of what you need in terms of parts. Once again why a MR? the Mr is a great car but the tranny will not hold up to big power if you plan on that one day. most people with MR's making major power, swap to a built 5spd tranny. less times to shift, and can hold big power. you should decide what your going to use the car for before you purchase something you wont use......

PM me if you have any questions. Once you answer the questions listed I can attempt to help you find good parts for good prices.
