Winter Wheels?

I really need to know if there any steel wheels out there that will fit over the stock brembo calipers on my Evo8. The local mitsu dealer tells me there is hardly any wheels that will fit, and is tryin to sell me some hella expensive wheels just to use a winters. I really dont want to mount snowies to my Volks for the winter...

I have a set of 2008 GTS wheels around, Specs are 18"x7". Lug pattern is 5x114.3,
Lug nut thread/pitch - 12 x 1.5, Offset is 46mm, Center hub is 67mm am i correct in assuming that these will be too narrow to fit?

i assume those will not work. you should get a set of stock wheels cheap and just put some snow tires on there.

yes, its spam, and I agree with siclanevo. Just get some stock wheels and some snow tires.

Getting some stock wheels might prove somewhat hard to do. I dont really want to order from the states but i guess i will if i have to. I was at my local tire shop yesterday, and we tried about 10 different sets of wheels on the car... None would clear the caliper.

Why would you have to order a brand new set of wheels for the winter time. There are loads of people on other sites that are selling stock Evo 8 wheels from $200 to $400. And sometimes theyre selling the wheels with tires on them. Just seems cheaper to me.

Haha, what SicLanEvo said. I sent a set of taillight from here to Pensylvania, box was less than 10lbs, and i sent it 7 day express, and it still cost me close to $70. Now imagine what 4 heavy wheels would cost...

I am close enough to the border that i could make a trip down Seattle way, if there were some stockers for sale in the Northwest somewhere. Im looking right now. As for the Rotas, i got a decent quote for a set of Rotas, i think torques, with a set of General Tire winter rubber for $1400. Thats mounted, balanced, and all taxes in. Pretty decent price IMO.

Check out this website: 5Zigenusa.com and go to the pro racer series and go
to the model ZR+520. They clear my calipers. I had this problem.
I run my 5zigen set in the summer and my oem equip in the winter with a Yok Snow
Tire. I hope the info helps u. I got my 5 zigen at discount tire.
