You knew this was going to happen...

Well Finaly got my self a 2006 Evo 9 . Traded my 96 gst to the dealer for 6k considering it needed a new paint job. Well Ive been reading thru the forum and leared that an intake is not the first thing to mod on the evo. As well as a TBE and MBC need an ecu flash still lots of info to learn. Thanks guys, see you again.

Welcome, and yes, TBE/MBC/Flash (doesn't have to be EcuFlash, but that's one method) is the perfect stg1 combo for your IX.
