Can you post the whole slip?

I personally shift way too slow (not enough track practice) and am wondering if you missed a shift or something? With my slow shifting, and 1.85 60' time I was running 12.5's at 110 so with that great 60' of yours and 110 mph traps I would expect a 12.4 or 12.3 out of your car.

Later,

Keith
sorry 109.8 not 110mph....and the 12.60 was not 1.69 60' the 12.66 was.

Cool, the slips help a lot.

Your 1/8 mile MPH is way slow for your 1/4 mile trap speed. What RPM are you shifting at? Do you have lots of problems getting it into second gear so you are doing that shift really slow like I have in the past?

You are obviously making good power with that much mph gain in the second half of the track though :)

Thanks,

Keith
no shifting problems just slow shifting into 2nd.... i have the built trans with front lsd now just always had problems going into second...not used to have a perfect shifting tranny!!!!

what do you think i can be running with the trap speeds??

Best I have seen in that speed range is a 12.355 @ 108.60 (not me, someone else who is a much better driver) but it is possible to get low 12's with 110 mph traps and a great 60' time like you are getting.

Keith
people with that trap have run quicker. with a really good short time like that I can't say you'll get much quicker maybe a .1 or .2 at the most. your shifting is probably all thats holding you up. You got your launch down so thats good!
I found out, that with a quicker 60' your trap speed will go down but your overall time will be quicker. I wish I could explain why but thats what usually happens.

That's true. I don't know the explanation either.
Awesome run, who has the Fastest EVO in the US now?

Head to evolutionm.net for more posts. There's several people running low 11's. TurboTrix Racing, to my knowledge, has the fastest US EVO VIII - they're in the 9's. But it's stripped.

AMS in Chicago is running a full weight, street legal ride in the low 10's. I think 10.37 or so.

the fastest evo in the us is turbotrix. they ran 9.77 with NOS. not street legal.
Al Friedman I think has the second fastest street driven, street legal, no nitrous in the US at [email protected] there is someone out there that ran 10.53 without NOS
curt brown ran a 11.23 on a ported stock turbo, ported exhaust mani, buschur sheetmetal intake and aem ems. The fastest STOCK turbo, stock computer (piggyback acceptable) ran 11.6 i think

The better your ET the less time you have to spend accelerating, so the same car cutting a great 60' time will have less time to build up speed before the final trip beam at the end of the track.... so you end up with a better ET at a slower trap speed.
