Anodized intercooler pics

I finally got it on with the help of a buddy. It's not as invisable as I thought it would be.
The anodizing really hardens the fins. There were some that I didn't get a chance to straighten before the process. I used to be able to staighten them with my finger nail, but now I need needle nose pliers.

It's not a bad idea if you get an aftermaket IC. It makes the fins hard as fu(k greatly increasing its durability. If your thinking about doing this, contact an anodizer to see if a polished endtank will take the dye better. My endtanks were raw casting and didn't come out as dark as the core.
i love the look!! sleeper as hell, but i have a quick question...

ive never really heard of anodizing an IC before so bare with me...
but wouldnt the darker color and thickening of the IC cause quicker heat-soak?

No. Anodizing doesn't really coat, or thicken, the intercooler with anything, like paint, so it doesn't change it's physical properties/thermal efficency. Dark colors absorb light energy so I guess I was drag racing towards the sun there might be a difference.
There's links in my old thread about anodizing;
