One can hope. I personally like the mechanical diff's and 5 speed, but more fast Mitsu's in the US can't be a bad thing

All they would have to do on crash standards is beef up the A-pillars like they do on convertibles and leave the top itself as aluminum. They may do that already in Japan for rigidity of the body structure....but I don't know. I would estimate at least a 20K rise in cost over the EVO we have now for the MR if it ever does come over.Ludachris said:Don't count on it - anytime you see weight savings where they use aluminum in the upper half of the car instead of steel, it usually won't hold up to the US crash standards. Not to mention the tuning they did to get more power, which is more difficult to make it comply with emissions, and the final factor - price. That car will probably be another $10k-15k more expensive than the current Evo. Mitsu would never take that risk. It's unfortunate too, since this car would be beating up on everything on the street.
Love that color too - and the seats look great.
Ya...actually its coming out this year...Nov/Oct 2004 as a 2005 model...so 6 months or so...I'm also waiting...I should be able to save up a good amount of extra cash in that amount of time...MRevo said:Well here is the offical press release of the MR

i imagine it will cost 35k+ but the extra year gives me time to save the extra money so its all good
Ya...hopefully it actually has a good clutch:thumb:MRevo said:wow thats even better news....too bad as soon as it comes out there gonna want like 2k over msrp, those jerks. Might have to wait a month or so, so i can get it for msrp. I wonder how many of these things thier going to make? hmmmm....
Another thing, i guess ill have to start searching for forums based over in japan and such, so i can read about all the MR owners are having with that transmission and stuff, hopefully not as much as the US evos. :dsm: :thumb: :dsm: :thumb: :dsm:
