You mean like those actuators that you flip a switch and it diverts all the exhaust before the exhaust when you're racing, and when you're just driving you can have normal exhaust?

Those are stupid, but I'll dig one up when I get home.

If you want open exhaust build a race car, you're driving a street car, why are you wanting open exhaust?

Just how I see it.
Real simple, some people like to be environmentally friendly on the street, and open up the system on the track. Electronic cutouts are MUCH simpler than crawling under the car to swap the test pipe in and out for track duty.

not only is it easier but when i got the beach areas i wont get a noise polution ticket. My eclipse has apex n1 and i got tickets for that dont want to deal with that anymore. Plus when i get fools pulling up next to me and my car is quiet as hell they will race me. It has nothing to do with building a race car. It is my race car/street car. also trying to stay stock in apperence and sound.

my friend just bought a setup like this for his GSX cause cops in SB are getting REALLY bad all of a sudden...so bad that they pulled over a STOCK ITR and said the guy had and exhaust:confused: headers:confused: and an intake:confused: ...and that was illeagal:confused: ...and he didn't have any of that stuff.... stupid cops...

anyway, I'll ask him what he did and where he got it from...then I'll let you know.

and no it isn't stupid...I personally wouldn't do it just cause I'd rather have a throaty sounding car all the time...rather than a loud obnoxious car when I open it up...

I am assuming also it alot of cash to have these...imo ehh i dont like it and I have no use for it.. i kinda agree with JEBUS

but whatever its your cash and your car so go for it
A downpipe with a cutout is much cheaper than a full turbo back exhaust system... not sure where you are getting cash problems from this idea....

I don't own one...but I thought the cat-back was 2.5" not sure on the dp...but I'm sure none of the exhaust is smaller than 2.25"
