Ok here is the deal. Whenever I do some hard shifting between 6500-7k I get a nasty bang in the drivetrain. Can't tell if it is from the ceneter diff or the rear diff.

I am planning on putting some redline shock proof in the rear and see if that changes anything. But I have heard from another website that it is bad for the shock proof but never got a good reason WHY it isn't good.

Hell I used in the "X" for years without problems.

Anyone here use it or also have the bang and feel it is common.

We have a mechanical limited slip rear differential, and it requires friction modifiers for the limited slip unit to operate correctly. I don't think redline shock prof has the limited slip friction modifiers in it.

^^ you are ressurecting very old threads....I dont think its a matter of tighting up bolts. There is a little bit of slack to it so unless you remachine everything it wont fix it.
