EVO IV Outside temperature sensor not working

My A/C never worked in my car, and recently the A/C pump swallowed one of the wires going to it and was destroyed. I decided to remove the A/C system rather than try to fix it since it didn't work in the first place, and I didn't care much about it. Since I did this, the outside temperature on the climate control unit doesn't work, and only reads 20C. I am wondering what sensor/part is responsible for the outside temperature reading to work? Couldn't find any other threads on it so thought I'd ask here. It's not an issue that im losing sleep over, would just be cool to have it work again if possible :)
