I know the Evo is a great autocross car but it doesn't mean it comes that way from the factory.

SO... my question is, in stock form, is the suspension good enough that I could I take my car off road in a snow covered field? Is there anything I should be worried about or precautions I need to take first?

I will be using Michelin X-Ice tires and undertermined wheels.

I'm going to Colorado for a ski trip and I know some great areas that I would like to take the car out and have some fun in the snow but I don't want to jack it up.

Yup, the EVO stock suspension is 100% biased towards pavment, unlike the stock WRX suspension.... but snow tires and an EVO go together like ham and eggs :D
