Those of you with an open element intake whether u have the stock maf or not are you afraid of water getting into the intake when it rains, or during a wash because of the hood vent? I just put my open element k&n on and i was thinkin about rain gettin into the hose.. is there a restrictive thing or is it burnt off? let me know, thx

For there to be serious damage (hydrolock), you would have to drive your car though some seriously deep water. Basically you'd have to submerge the filter while the motor is running. Some water will get in there from rain and washes, but not enough to do damage. You would only have to worry about taking in water if you relcated the filter down low, like in a cold air set up.
