Thanks. It's my first turbo car. I was thinking about those mods you mentioned. I cant make up my mind on which combo I should go with. Now once i make up my mind should I get a ecu flash right away???turbolarry said:I love my RS. Cangrats on yours. :thumb:
First thing (IMO); exhaust. Cat-back, test pipe/high flow cat, and downpipe. In that order or all at once depending on budget.
Is this your first turbo car?
Thanks man. I like how you have your evo tricked out. It's a nice clean look. :thumb:SicLanEvo said:Congrats! have fun with it and post some pics!
diablors said:It sounds like a plan. Now I just have to figure out which exhaust I wanna go with. I know this is a newbie question but. Does a turboback include a uppipe/downpipe/catback???
Do you work for a dealership??? I like the way the IX tails look but for some reason I love the MR's.SicLanEvo said:The Turboback is a downpipe, test pipe or High flow cat, and a catback exhaust. The subarus are the ones with the uppipes. there are some good deals out there if you look around at the different online vendors. I love the way the IX's look! I love the black housing tails and headlights, I may be ordering a set of tails from my work when i get a chance.
The MR is a sweet ride. My brother in laws cousin has one. Our evo's stock have awesome handling. The MR raises the bar. The Bilstein suspension makes a difference. We can piece our evo together and we would save money.SicLanEvo said:yeah i work at a delaerhsip i sell Mazdas, mitsus, and suzukis. We have a evo 9 MR on the lot that is calling my name but i don't have the money to get it, maybe one day.
How true, I don't need 6spds. Just the BBS wheels, bilstein shocks, and vortex generator and i would be happy. :thumb:diablors said:We can piece our evo together and we would save money.
Thanks man. I love the car. It's fun to drive. It's everything I expected. The car for a 4 banger is very torquey. I hope there is a Evo meet sometime in the near future so I can check out some other evos. :dsm:pezzonovante said:congrats on the car! I'd recommend that you just drive and enjoy it for a good while. Then, if/when you decide to mod you'll have plenty of information to base your decision on. If possible ride in other peoples cars with various exhausts to get an idea of the noise of each.
If you're looking for mod recommendations to start investigating though, I'd have to defer to SCC as they recommended 3 things in one of their 8 great rides articles, a rear sway bar, full exhaust, and tuning like with an ems, piggyback, or eeprom flash.
