Any of you guys experience this?

I try to get rid of it before i fill up on gas (saw the news reports of it causing fires), but how did you guys remedy this?

Don't wear wool sweaters when you drive the Evo. When you get out of it to fill up on gas, touch the pump to discharge all the static electricity out of your body.

I dunno what else to say, haven't really been shocked by the Evo's at the dealer

karma bro...karma:laugh:

those seats liked me;)
i get it to man. actually its usually only passengers that get shocked.
simple solution, as you are getting out of your car, put your hand along the lower door sill, it will ground you so you dont' get shocked
Shocking Seats

Don't feel like you are alone. I get shocked too. I have just learned to close my door by pushing on the window instead of the metal door or trim. This use to happen to me on my company car also. It doesn't happen to everyone.
 I know it's crazy but it has worked for me. I'm a bit of a neat freak :D so when I get in the car I take off my shoes. LOL! Now it is soo hard for me to drive with shoes! It feels weird. Anyways I don't get shocked any more. Now I know most people aren't going to take their shoes off every time they drive but I just thought I'd share my story.
i presume its due to the friction caused when you move around on the seats..

just like rubbing your feet on the carpet, like people do at school (i know i did :p) then you lift your feet and zap someone.

its basically you bring forth static electricity and its running through you, but when youch someone else you pass it on..
Mitsubishi offers a Static touch pad as a accesory that you can buy at the dealers which is also on sale for cheap until January 31st! they used to come standard on MX-3's so you never got shocked. It doesn't happen to me so it must be karma! lol.
I don't get shocked anymore, but my wife gets buzzed everytime she gets out. It's hilarious!
