Well after about 3 1/2 hrs at the dealership this morning my baby is on its way. I work out a deal for a 2005 Mitsu EVO VIII MR in rally red with optional Black leather Recaros on the road for $33,997. I got my payments to be 315 a month for 72 months. (3,500 cash down payment and 10,000 on trade in. ) Pics will be up when she gets here in 2-4 weeks. (due to the leather and getting the red shipped to my dealer) :dsm: :dsm:

I didn't think the leather ricaros was an option on the MR or RS models
I also thought they were only in gray?
is that an '06 option?
I just bought an '05 EVO VIII w/ leather and the main reason I didn't wait for them to locate an MR was the leather option.
if the ricaros are available in black leather in the MR model, I might have to put my foot up my dealers arse

I just went to mitsu web site and they don't list the leather as an option for the MR or RS, also not in anything except gray for the GSR

Congrats! Sounds like you worked a pretty good deal if that 33,997 includes tax tag and title. I have seen dealers play the "out the door price" game when ordering.... than add on a bunch of crap the day you are there to take delivery.

No it is not an option for leather but the dealer I am getting it from asked if I would like to have the leather seats. This dealer tends to like aftermarket stuff as I have seen many modded eclipses being sold there. (exe. they sold as a package for V6 eclipses.... a complete razzi body kit w/ color matched mirrors, 18" bbs rims, and greddy exhaust.) So I figured that the leather was the same thing.

leather in a MR

the dealership also did the same thing for my MR. at first they told me it wasn't an option. but everyone knows it is on the 8's. so they just ordered the leather like any other part or accessory, then they paid an auto upholstery shop to slip on the new skins. :dsm: :thumb:
