Ok I have had my Turbosmart MBC on my car for awhile now, I also had this same one on my dsm. It has always worked perfectly. i had it set for 21psi and I haven't touched it. I put my foot down in 4th today and I hit fuel cut, So I slow down and put my foot down a little less this time and I see my boost gauge go past 25psi which has never been a issue. My question is if for some reason my Line for my wastegate actuator came off or got pinched would it cause it to not open or could my MBC have gone bad and now the spring won't hold right? I really need some help form the gurus on this one. Thanks in advance

If your wastegate hose came off, why not just put it back on and go back to normal? The boost went really high due to no wastegate line, so just connect it. The MBC should be fine. If after reconnecting the hose, it no longer boosts properly, then we can discuss it further. Btw, if you're hitting fuel cut, that will be fixed by a flash. If you have a flash, then you did not hit fuel cut - it was the hose busting off.

I couldn't see if the hose came off and i didn't have time to pull the intake out to check. so I have been driving under light throttle, no boost at all. Tomorrow i'm going to hopefully fix it, or at least figure out the problem.

Oh, I thought you said for sure it came off and/or got pinched. If you haven't yet taken everything apart to ensure the boost lines are properly connected, then be sure to do that. I doubt the MBC just went bad, but you should start by checking all the connections of the MBC, turbo, wga (make sure wga nipple isn't bent), and MBC.

If the line to the wastegate actuator came off, or was pinched closed, yes it would cause your wastegate not to open and you would over boost. That is one thing to consider.
I've never used a Turbosmart MBC, but if the line to the wastegate checks out, open it up. Make sure the ball isn't stuck and the spring isn't broken.
Has anyone touched the car without you knowing? Any recent services where someone would be under the hood and start playing with it? It has been known to happen.

My car was running perfect at the track on sunday and today it just started overboosting, nobody has been under the hood not even me since sunday.
