hi freinds i did some logs with my evo using pocketlogger all this logs where on 3erd gearpulls iam using an xede:

first log:
Time,RPM,Timing

00:04.77,3910.0,9.0

00:04.88,4012.0,8.0

00:05.01,4105.0,8.0

00:05.13,4203.0,9.0

00:05.26,4305.0,9.0

00:05.38,4410.0,10.0

00:05.51,4539.0,11.0

00:05.63,4605.0,11.0

00:05.75,4699.0,11.0

00:05.86,4840.0,12.0

00:05.98,4902.0,11.0----- -1

00:06.11,5031.0,11.0

00:06.23,5137.0,11.0

00:06.36,5207.0,11.0

00:06.48,5344.0,12.0

00:06.61,5453.0,13.0

00:06.73,5523.0,12.0----- -1

00:06.86,5648.0,10.0----- -2

00:06.98,5734.0,11.0

00:07.09,5785.0,12.0

00:07.21,5891.0,13.0

00:07.34,6016.0,11.0----- -2

00:07.46,6066.0,13.0

00:07.57,6156.0,14.0

00:07.69,6270.0,15.0

00:07.82,6352.0,15.0

00:07.94,6422.0,16.0

00:08.06,6500.0,18.0

00:08.18,6621.0,16.0----- -2

00:08.31,6680.0,18.0

00:08.43,6758.0,18.0

00:08.56,6832.0,18.0

00:08.68,6914.0,18.0

00:08.80,6977.0,19.0

00:08.92,7063.0,20.0

00:09.03,7129.0,20.0

00:09.15,7176.0,20.0

00:09.27,7273.0,20.0

00:09.39,7316.0,21.0

00:09.52,7395.0,21.0

00:09.64,7477.0,21.0

00:09.77,7531.0,20.0---- -1

00:09.89,7574.0,20.0

as you can see i had in several parts of my rpm range knock of -1 and -2* of timing being pulled back you need to know that with the xede you must subtract the numbers in the timing table from the xede to the ones of the pocketlogger as in example at 7316rpm i had 21* but in the xede timing table i had timing of -4 so in reality my timing is 21-4=17*

then i did another log but this time i added fuel to my whole fuel map:

00:11.75,7418.0,25.0

00:11.86,7441.0,26.0

this time i had only 2 parts of my rpm range 1* being pulled back also you can see my timing in the 7000rpms that it advanced more then the first log at 7262rpms i have 25* which is 25-4=21* this is more timing then the first log which was 17*
my question is why adding fuel to my table increased my timing in the higher rpms but in the lower rpms i had less timing in this log:timing in the first log at 4105rpms was 8* but when i added fuel in the 2nd log my timing at 4162rpms is 6* so why did my timing decreased in the 2ndlog if i added fuel???

also in my first log i had my afrs at peak boost go as high as 12.5 and by redline they went as low as 12.0.
in my 2nd log i had my afrs at peak boost go to 11.8 and by redline they went to 11.0.
my boost in the first log was 22psi and in my 2nd log 21psi
so what do you guys think??

as someone else, :) I would tell you that anything in the twelves it to lean for an evo at full boost. Generally I would be considered too liberal running 11.5 at full boost. So I try to keep it just below that.

I would rather have a bit too much fuel and add a bit of timing than have to retard timing to go leaner. Just as I would rather add timing than remove it to add boost, figuring 19~21 as a normal range. (on a stock evo stock type turbo.)

interested in other's thoughts too.

I'm not sure about the lower timing at low RPM with the additional fuel, but I agree with nothere on the fuel issues. I run between 11.3:1 and 11.5:1 A/F ratio on my setup, and that is considered agressive by Dave Buschur who usually tunes in the high 10's for a setup like mine.... 12.5:1 explains why you were having timing pulled.

I just came back from a camping trip. :D
First I've never used xede, but does it work the same as most piggybacks?
What time of day were these logs done?
Your on 91 oct. right?
Can you do another log with RPM's, timing, and front O2's from 2600-7400 RPM, third gear, WOT?
