Valentine 1, it has to be one of the best i have ever used, they are $300 I think.
Hey I just checkout their webpage, and I think its pretty awsome. Do you have anymore feed back on it?
clear weather , no mountains and you can pick up signal for radar or laser from about 2.5 miles away. It also tells you if its in front, behind, or on the sides of you. Awesome product for the money.
Hey thanks. I'll save up for that. Can you trust Ebay for this product? jUst wondering. Kinda pricey. I really want one bad now. Ok. Thanks for the POst.

I buy everthing I can on ebay and it's not ebay you need to trust, it's the seller. The trick is to; read the discription thoroughly, know exactly what you want to buy (down to the part #), know what they charge for shipping (don't get ripped off here either), and only buy from sellers with good feedback. That's the most important one, the feedback. A lot of tranactions and 100% rating is the best. If they have 5000+ transactions and a rating of 99.6%... :thumb: If they have 10 transactions and a rating of 93%... :thumbdown
There are only 2 that I would trust in my cars:

V1 - they are $400 each and only available from Valentineone.com . The ones on Ebay are mostly older versions. The current one is version 1.8. It includes pop radar detection which is what the latest technology being used by the Highway patrol. If you had bought an older system, you can send it back to the manufacturer to be updated to current standards. This costs $70. I use this on my C5 and it is a proven radar detector by many.

Passport 8500 X50 - Made by Escort Radar (used to employ Mr. Valentine) and it has beaten the V1's v1.7. Comes in blue and red LED versions (identical but blue is $50 more). It looks better than the V1 in looks and works just as great. No arrows but you have the option in integrating it with Escort's radar evader. It costs $300 brand new.

Both systems come with a guarantee. Buy it, use it for 30 days and if not satisfies, send them back. You can also buy USED ones/returned ones by contacting the manufacturer.

i have had my passport 8500 for about 3 years, it has been baked in the texas sun and still works, it's been in a wreck in my wrx and still works. and now it holds up in my evo, working just fine. they even have a cordless battery opperated model too.
Got My Valentine 1 AWESOME!!!

I got my Valentine 1, I tried it out today and this thing is awesome. Purrfect for San Diego. I drove around for alittle bit and it picked up every black and white That had RAdar on. VEry user friendly. It also Counts how many Bogeys there are and sounds a different tone for bougous alerts. I REccomend it if you are drive alittle fast or just like to go police hunting. !!!:thumb:

what did I tell you about that radar dectector! It is great now i need to save money up for another one, I sold my old one a long time ago and now I miss it!
I have used the passport 8500 for atleast 4 years it has been amazing. I cant believe that it still works. I will be getting the new 9500 though. It is more updated and it will auto log false alarm spots with the built in GPS so it dosent go off where it is not supposed to.
passport 8500 red(more vsiible) saves my azz mutiples times. someone i know did a side by side with the V1. V1 was way late on response.
the cheapest one on the market is to just not drive fast where you think there may be cops! haha but in all seriousness, V1 ftw!
I belive the the K20 is the best 2,000 and it goes in bumbers and all, and there garentee is if u get pulled over they take care of the ticket.
What they need to do is find something that can tell you on a GPS system, were the cops are setting. Like little dots. Kinda like Call of Duty 4 UAV....lol That would be the best.

Knowing how our criminal justice system works, "they" will probably get that capability before we do. It'll leak out on the market just like things normally do. I must say though, that it's definitely a way to take things to the next level. A real-world Minority Report with EVO's and cop cars evading each other all over the place in a hide-and-seek type of fashion. I'm going to check out the Passport 9500 first and then the V1.

It's funny that you say that because the new Passport 9500 has GPS imbedded and you can store speed traps to the unit. Everytime you get near a saved location it will alert you to slow down.
No way.... I am a mind reader by trade....lol I might have to look at that thing.
