Yeah i know I need to spend big money to get the there, but as you see by my two cars I have mentioned (12.1 eclipse GT/ dyno queen GTI 357whp @ 21psi daily driven some what) I have no problem getting parts. I have a couple connections to some companies around my way that allow me to get insane prices on parts for my own car. :shhh: I am a mechanic so I do this all for fun.
I have some questions....
1. What is the max I can bore and stroke the motor to? (2.4-2.5?)
and
2. How much can the stock block/ tranny/ axels hold? (???/???/???)
3. Is there any major problems with the EVO? (I.e crank walk)
1. Best bet if you want to increase displacement is a 2.4 liter swap from any newer 4g64 equiped vehicle.
2. The stock short block can handle 500+ wheel HP. Gota love cast iron blocks

Some people who are abuseive screw up the drivetrain at stock power levels, others are running 500+ HP through them without problems. That isn't including the clutch of course.... if you plan on any drag strip use you will need a performance clutch.
3. No problems other than a weak stock clutch that I know of.
