Yeah thats true, i didn't even think about mitsu just pointing to that incase of a clutch, tranny, or transfer case failure. Thats kinda funny though, cause from what i have read it seems that the stock clutch line would lead to those problems more or faster then an aftermarket SS clutch line.
Talking about what does and doesn't void warrenty kinda changes the thread a little bit but its all good. Yeah we talked before about what does and doesn't void the warrenty. My car has about 850 miles on it now i'm going to wait till about 1,000-1,500 miles and change the oil and at the same time ill put the K&N drop in filter that i bought in. I already installed a Greddy turbo timer too.
I would like to get an EBC since they hold boost better till redline then a MBC but they are also a lot more expensive and probably a little harder to uninstall if i have to take the car to a dealership. I had a Hallman Evo in cab MBC on my GSX and it worked real well, held boost within about 1 psi till redline and was very easy to adjust. So when i do get one i will probably end up going with that again.
Just like you i will probably end up going with the Megan 3 inch TBE. Real cheap and also flows very well. Does Megan make a 3 inch high flow cat to go with their TBE or just a 3 inch test pipe?
Yeah i have also been looking into the ecu flash, probably by dynoflash, or turbo trix. But i will probably have to wait a little longer till someone offers one for the MIVEC motor. When i am back home in jersey turbo trix is only about an hour from me and i took my GSX there for dyno tuning a couple times.
Also one of the dealerships i talked to said that if you mess with any gaskets on the exhaust it will void warrenty (besides cat back), but i have an i idea to try and work around that, let me know what you think. I would like to put the Megan TBE on soon, so i was thinking about unbolting the exhaust at the 02 housing and keeping the rest of the exhaust all bolted together and taking it out of the rubber hangers. So by doing this i would keep the exhaust completely together and the only gasket i would mess with really would be the at the 02 housing. I would just lay the whole exhaust system on the side of my garage so if i had to go to the dealership for something i would just put it back on. Let me know if you think that would work. Warrtalon, you seem to be helping me out the most with all my evo stuff so far so let me know what you think about all that. If anybody else has any other info on the SS clutch lines or any other stuff relating to what we are talking about feel free to post. Any info is helpful and appreciated, Thanks.
