Eek, you'd actually use those on an Evo?

I really would hate to see an Evo with those 90s-era things on the tail lights, but what I do think would be cool is if you had your tail lights custom smoked internally or externally depending on your preference. You can do this by going to EvoDave who basically does all sorts of artwork with the tails and heads:

Anything is better than the stock VIII or IX tail lights Warr :) I agree that a custom setup by evodave is the better option though.

I don't dislike IX taillights, but XIII taillights are fairly ugly. XII taillights seem like a nice option.

Wow, yours already look that good? That first pic looks light years better than the second pic. Completely blacking out the tail lights with a plastic cover was a fad back in the early 90s, but I don't see it anymore except on the occasional 15yo Corolla with plastic Autozone spinners. If that's what you really want, then of course that's your preference, but I think the first pic looks great. I thought maybe you had the stock VIII jeweled pieces of crap, but what you have is sweet, imo. Completely blacking them out is also illegal in most places...or at least the places I've lived.

If I ever manage to get the car I want for my "fun summer ride" I would consider blacked out head and tail lights. It just looks good along with deep tint on dark colored cars to me.

is modding our lights just like modding a wrx? cook them @ 250 for like 5 minutes then split em open and paint the crome minus the parts that actually serve as refliction surfaces.
