Ahhhh, why not post it here, and have them check the thread out here? ;) I know it would help get others to share things here instead of just pointing people over to the other site.

Cool! We don't want this place to just become an extension of the other forums...

Then here's my questions on the system - How much did everything cost, including the welding and fabrication? Have you dynoed it to see what gains come about when it's open compared to when it's closed? And last - have you heard anything about any possible legal consequences for having this mod? Smog or otherwise?

are you entering the site from the link in your email...like from hotmail...because that happens whenever I do that too...

so to cure it I just have to go to the address bar and type evotuners.net/forums in. It does that to me on dsmtuners too. I'm not sure why...but it just does whenever it has that "you are visiting a site outside of hotmail" banner at the top.

If that isn't what you are doing...then you do have a problem.

Hmm.. I believe you are right 12secEVO....

well back to topic I paid 186 for the cutout kit and 200 for welding and installation so roughly $400 altogether... I have no dyno passes yet but you can ACTUALLY feel the difference when the cutout is opened or closed..i say good for 20hp easy and maybe some more... I might be going to Pruven this Tuesday for some baselines since I had done some street tuning with Al....

As for legality I was told by a few muscle car owners and they have told me it is illegal in the state of NY but I have not actually researched it so I could be wrong

I'm sure it is illegal in New York...and probably would be in Cali too...

But if a guy from NYC got a ticket for having the wing on the Evo (stock wing) I'm sure that the exhaust cut out is illegal too...but hey...as long as its not used when cops are around...I'm sure they'd never know...I highly doubt they'd look...and for smog checks...just go to one of the cool guys:cool:
