I just bought a MBC (manual boost Controller) for my evo 9 mr and was wondering what is the max psi I can run with out running out of fuel(fuel cut), or breaking something.
Thanks :dsm:
I've never worked on a IX, but I ran 20psi in stock form with no problems. If you do try higher, the worst that's going to happen is fuel cut but you won't break anything. I've tried 22psi, but it knocks a little between 4500-5500 RPM's on 91 octane.
My bad that was a error.
The stock boost gauge reads like 1.3 bar.
Can anyone give like a comparison table between psi and bar.
I installed the MBC but I want it set to the max but first I need to know how to read the bar gauge.
Should I buy a auto meter gauge to be more acurate, am I right?
The stock one works fine.
There's a conversion calculator here;
Click on "Technical" and go to "Calculators". Click on "Unit Converters" and the first one is pressure. http://www.stealth316.com/0-frames.htm
P.S.
There's also all kinds of formulas, data/info, maps, all kinds of cool stuff here.
