A buddy and I installed this thing and it was a M.F.'er! But damn it makes a difference. Did anyone use some type of gasket around the O2 housing, or just go with the slip fit? Did you use the included bolts or the stock bolts with the springs? What about some type of head shield at the oil pan, it's very close?
P.S. I hate the spash gaurd too. :D

You don't use any gasket, and I used the bolts that came with it. You can use heat wrap on the downpipe if you are worried about your oil pan, but as long as it is not actually touching I wouldn't worry about it.

Did you have to use spacers on the cross bars? I know he was going to redesing it to try and get ride of the need for spacers but I don't know how effective he was.

O.K.
The D.P. is not touching, but at the closest spot, it's about .25 in. Heatshield?
The clearence at the cross bars is good and does not require spacers. It is only the 2.5 D.P. though.

With 1/4 inch of clearance I wouldn't worry about a heat shield.
